Dimulai pada tahun 2007 saat gitaris Ben Bruce memulai sebuah band dengan nama "Asking Alexandria" di Dubai dengan merilis sebuah album dengan nama The Irony Of Perfection yang tanpa sebab yang jelas, sekitar 1 bulan kemudian mereka membubarkan band tanpa sempat memulai promo album.  Sekitar sebulan setelah pembubaran band, Ben bruce kembali ke Inggris dan memulai sebuah band baru bernama sama "Asking Alexandria" dengan merekrut personil baru dengan formasi yang benar-benar berbeda dari sebelumnya, Ryan Binns ( synthesist ),  James Cassells ( drums ),   Cameron Liddell ( rhythm guitar ),  Danny Worsnop ( lead vocals, keyboards, programming ).
